Get the Whole Family Off Screens — Four Players All at Once

Family game night often means one kid yawns, another waits for their turn, and someone grabs their phone by minute six. GameFlare™ changes that — with four sides, four players all rolling simultaneously, and addition plus subtraction in every dice toss. Kids beg for "just one more round" like they used to plead for the iPad. No screens. No turn waiting. Just laughter, fast moves, and quietly honing mental math.

Stop Making Bored Kids Sit Through 90-Minute Board Games

Monopoly drags on. Candy Land bores anyone older than 7. “Educational” apps just hand kids another screen. Meanwhile, your 6-year-old and 11-year-old never want to play the same game — and game night fizzles before it starts. GameFlare™ plays in ten-minute rounds, suits kindergarten to grandparents, and the only “homework” anyone notices is the friendly trash talk.

➤ Sneaks Math Past the “Ugh, Math” Reflex: Each dice roll nudges them to add or subtract quickly to decide which tiles to flip. They’re racing, not drilling — yet the learning sticks.

➤ Ends the “When’s My Turn?” Whines: All four players go at once on their own colored side. No waiting. No zoning out. Everyone’s locked in from start to finish.

➤ Fits Both the 6-Year-Old AND the Grandparent: Rules make sense in under two minutes. The strategy keeps grown-ups sharp. Same round teaches Jake to add to 12 while Grandpa rethinks his combos.

Meet GameFlare™ — The Four-Sided Shut-the-Box Made for the Whole Family

GameFlare™ reimagines the classic pub game — roll dice, total the pips, flip matching numbered tiles — but now for four players simultaneously. Every side sport its own color, a 1-to-10 tile row, and a pair of dice. The first to shut their box wins. The last with tiles left counts penalty points.

Most family games force tradeoffs — luck vs. skill, kid vs. adult, speed vs. patience. This one turns the addition kids learn in school into a competitive race even adults want to win. The round drilling third-grade subtraction is the same round your husband trash talks through.

Why Game Night Left the iPad and Returned to the Table

Most parents tell us the same thing: they expected the kids to lose interest quickly. Three months later, the corners are worn, two dice live permanently under the couch, and Friday has become a ritual. The pub-game roots travel well — fun on the kitchen table, at the cabin, grandma’s house, or a picnic blanket.

“Bought it to break up kids’ math homework. Within ten minutes my husband was more hooked than they were. We’ve played it in two months more than all our other board games combined.” — Megan T.

What You'll Actually See After the First Round

✓ Plays 1 to 4 Players: Enjoy a quick solo round while dinner cooks, or bring all four sides in for a full-table face-off. No “need exactly X players” hassle.

✓ Solid Wood, Felt-Lined, Travel-Ready: Substantial enough to feel authentic, light enough to toss in a tote for cabins or in-laws. Tiles snap into the frame so nothing catches or rattles loose during travel.

✓ Two-Minute Rules, Hour-Long Fun: Anyone who can add to 12 masters it first round. The “just one more game” cycle kicks in by round three.

How a Single Round Plays Out

Step 1: Roll your two dice. Total the pips — that’s your target number.

Step 2: Flip down any combo of open tiles on your side adding up to your roll. Rolled a 9? Flip the 9, or 4 and 5, or 1 and 8 — your move, your plan.

Step 3: Keep rolling and flipping tiles until your dice can’t match any remaining tile. First to close all tiles on their side wins the round.

Got Questions? Let’s Clear Them Up

Is the math really suitable for a 6-year-old?

Yes. Younger kids practice adding two dice (up to 12) and matching straightforward tiles. Older kids chain combos and use subtraction strategically. Same board, increasing challenge as they grow.

How many players does it actually accommodate?

Designed for 1 to 4. Solo play turns into beating your own lowest score. With four, all sides are active — no sitting out or waiting around.

Will it survive being tossed in a bag for trips?

The wood is sturdy and tiles snap into the frame instead of hinging, so nothing catches or rattles loose. Toss it in your tote with the snacks — it’s been many parents’ airport go-to.

What if my mental math is a bit rusty?

Totally fine — most adults rebuild that mental-math skill within the first handful of rounds. The game does the teaching, not you. Calculator on your phone is fair game, no shame.

How long does a round usually last?

Around 10 to 15 minutes for a full four-player round. Long enough to get absorbed, short enough so “one more game” really means just one more game and not another hour lost.
