Quit Drilling Blind and Hope for the Best

One misplaced hole and you're left patching drywall, calling a plumber, or worse — facing a sparking wire behind your TV mount. The HW-710 Wall Scanner reveals exactly where studs, copper pipes, and live AC wires lie before your drill bit even touches the wall. Five scanning modes. One crystal-clear LCD display. Zero uncertainty.

Magnetic Stud Finders? Half the Time, They’re Wrong

Magnet-based scanners only detect nails — often missing on plaster walls. You end up knocking like grandpa, drilling multiple test holes before hitting a joist, then hoping the shelf holds. One bad hole and suddenly you’re $400 deep on an unexpected pipe repair. The HW-710 removes the guesswork entirely.

Engineered to Locate the Three Things That Matter

Finds Wood Studs Up to 1½" Deep: Offering three depth settings — ½", 1", and 1½" — it detects joists behind thick plaster, double drywall, or paneling without the false alarms basic finders trigger.

Detects Live AC Wires Before Drilling: A dedicated AC mode activates a warning icon and triggers an audible alarm the moment current is detected. The live wire stays the pro’s concern, not yours.

Identifies Copper Pipes and Concrete Rebar: In metal mode, it senses both ferrous (steel rebar) and non-ferrous (copper pipes) metals up to 38 mm deep — the very things that can turn a quick TV installation into a frustrating hardware trip.

How the HW-710 Peers Inside Your Walls

Equipped with a wideband sensor array, it measures changes in density and electromagnetic fields through drywall, plaster, and concrete. As you slide the scanner across the surface, the LCD displays a live signal bar that builds as an object nears — then locks to CENTER with a red dot once aligned precisely. A percentage readout indicates your proximity to the exact stud center, letting you mark once and drill cleanly.

It auto-calibrates immediately when powered on against the wall— no twisting, no recalibrating every few feet, no waiting for LEDs to stabilize. Press the button, slide, mark.

Loved by DIYers and Pros Alike

“Last summer, I nearly drilled into a live wire hanging a bathroom mirror. Bought a $15 stud finder afterward — useless on old plaster. This one actually detects AC lines and its alarm is loud enough to hear over music. Found three pipes hidden before tiling the backsplash.” — Daniel R.

“I’m a finish carpenter and keep one in the truck for tricky jobs where magnets fail. The depth options are what the cheap $20 finders lack. Worth every cent.” — Hector M.

What You Actually Receive

✓ Locate studs on the very first scan, not your third try.
✓ Detect live wires before your drill meets the wall.
✓ Mount TVs, shelves, and cabinets confidently with zero callbacks.

Three Easy Steps for a Perfect Hole, Every Time

1. Power on holding the scanner flat against the wall—auto-calibration takes only a second.
2. Choose the mode you need: stud depth, AC, or metal. The mode icon lights on the LCD.
3. Slide sideways. When the signal bar fills and CENTER locks (red dot + audible beep), mark and drill.

Common Questions

Is it effective on plaster or lath walls?

Yes — the 1½" stud mode is specifically designed for thicker plaster and double drywall. Avoid the ½" mode on these walls; it's optimized for thinner surfaces.

How reliable is the live wire detection?

The AC mode detects current in standard household wiring through drywall up to around 51 mm deep. Use it as a safety double-check alongside turning off the breaker—never as a substitute.

Does it require recalibration when moved?

No. It calibrates automatically the moment you switch it on against the wall. Scan by sliding horizontally with no twisting or resetting between scans.

Will it damage freshly painted walls?

The rear pads are soft and won't mark surfaces. Slide gently without pressing hard. No damage on satin or eggshell finishes.

What type of batteries are needed?

Powered by standard batteries, with a low-battery icon displayed on the LCD. Batteries may not be included—check your package on arrival.

Drill Confidently — Or Get a Full Refund

If the HW-710 doesn’t locate what’s behind your wall on the very first scan, return it within 30 days for a complete refund. The bracket goes up, the pipe stays safe, and the scanner costs you nothing.
